In order to enroll in Toyo University, you must acquire a  student visa first. If you are officially accepted to enroll to Toyo University yet you do not have a residence status in Japan, Toyo University will apply to the Immigration Bureau for the issuance of your “Certificate of Eligibility for Residence Status” (hereinafter “COE”) on your behalf.

This page is for the submission of the application documents for the COE.If we find any problems with your documents, we will contact you via email, so please check it regularly.

Please submit all the required documents by the deadline below.

本学に入学する場合は、必ず「留学」の在留資格（ビザ）が必要になります。持っていない方は、東洋大学が「在留資格認定証明書（COE）」の代理申請を行います。
このサイトから申請に必要な書類の提出をお願いします。
提出書類に不備等があった場合は、メールで個別にご連絡しますので、定期的に確認するようにお願いします。
全ての書類は、必ず期日までに提出ください。

The process takes about one and a half months or more at the Bureau of Immigration to complete depending on your country or region.

Once we receive your COE, we will send it to your mailing address. You will then use the COE to apply for your visa at the nearest Japanese consulate or embassy in your country of residence.

申請から発給までに必要な期間は国やエリアによっても異なりますが、1ヶ月半、場合によってはそれ以上時間がかかります。
「在留資格認定証明書（COE）」が交付されましたら、皆さんの住所に郵送します。この「在留資格認定証明書（COE）」を使って、母国或いは居住地の日本領事館・大使館で在留資格（ビザ）を申請してください。

過去に「在留資格認定証明書（COE）」の不交付歴または在留期間更新、在留資格変更不許可歴のある場合は、必ず申込フォームでチェックを入れてください。後から追加書類の提出についてメールでご連絡します。

If a COE you applied for has not been issued for any reason, or an application you submitted for extension of period of stay or change of status of residence in Japan has ever been rejected, please check the appropriate box on the “Past Immigration denials” prompt on the application form. In these cases, we may ask for additional documentation.
